Anatase titanium dioxide
Source anatase titanium dioxide grade A1 for interior coatings, paper, rubber, ceramics, enamel and welding electrodes. A1 provides a bright, blue-white tone at a lower cost than rutile where long-term outdoor durability is not required.

Grade A1
Anatase is the softer, lower-density crystal form of titanium dioxide. It gives a characteristically clean, blue-white tone and is gentler on processing equipment, but has lower UV durability than rutile — so it is best kept to interior and non-weathering uses.
Where a bright white is wanted at the most competitive cost and long-term outdoor durability isn't required, A1 is an efficient pigment and functional filler.

Anatase A1 — common questions.
When should I choose anatase instead of rutile TiO2?
Choose anatase when you want a bright, blue-white tone at the most competitive cost and the product will not face long-term outdoor exposure — interior coatings, paper, rubber, ceramics, enamel and welding electrodes are typical. Where lightfastness and weatherability matter, rutile is the default choice.
Can anatase titanium dioxide be used outdoors?
It is not recommended. Anatase has lower UV durability than rutile and will chalk and lose gloss faster under weathering, so it is best kept to interior and non-weathering uses. For exterior coatings, plastics or masterbatch, use a rutile grade such as R868 or R878.
What is anatase grade A1 typically used for?
Interior coatings, paper and pulp, rubber, ceramics, enamel and glaze, welding electrode flux coatings, and interior-grade white masterbatch — anywhere a clean white is wanted without long-term outdoor exposure.
What packaging does anatase A1 come in?
Anatase A1 is supplied in 25 kg bags. A full technical datasheet is provided with every quotation, and a certificate of analysis (COA) accompanies every lot.
