Grade A1

Anatase is the softer, lower-density crystal form of titanium dioxide. It gives a characteristically clean, blue-white tone and is gentler on processing equipment, but has lower UV durability than rutile — so it is best kept to interior and non-weathering uses.

The manufacturer TDS specifies TiO₂ purity ≥98%, whiteness ≥95%, oil absorption ≤26 g/100g and pH 6.5-8.0. These are specification limits; the current controlled TDS and batch COA govern approval.

Selection boundary

Compare crystal form before approving anatase for the application.

Anatase A1 is best evaluated for interior and non-weathering systems. If opacity, exterior durability or gloss retention is critical, start with the rutile versus anatase comparison and qualify a rutile alternative.

FAQ

Anatase A1 — common questions.

When should I choose anatase instead of rutile TiO2?

Choose A1 for the applications documented in the manufacturer TDS — rubber, paint, plastics, papermaking and printing ink — when long-term outdoor durability is not the primary requirement. Where weatherability matters, qualify a rutile grade in your formulation.

Can anatase titanium dioxide be used outdoors?

It is not the default choice for long-term outdoor exposure because anatase has lower UV durability than rutile. For high-performance coating systems, begin qualification with R868; for plastics and masterbatch, compare the application requirement with R878 and other suitable rutile grades.

What is anatase grade A1 typically used for?

The current Jinan Yuxing A1 manufacturer TDS lists rubber, paint, plastics, papermaking and printing ink. Suitability still needs to be confirmed against your formulation and agreed specification.

What packaging does anatase A1 come in?

Anatase A1 is supplied in 25 kg bags. A full technical datasheet is provided with every quotation, and a certificate of analysis (COA) accompanies every lot.
